Sinemet® (carbidopa-levodopa) is a prescription medication licensed to treat Parkinson's disease. This medication is also approved to treat Parkinson-like symptoms that result from encephalitis, manganese poisoning, or carbon monoxide poisoning. Sinemet comes in tablet form and is typically taken three or four times a day. Potential side effects may include nausea, vomiting, and involuntary movements.
