Sinemet® (carbidopa-levodopa) is a prescription medicine used to help control the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This medication is also approved to treat Parkinson-like symptoms caused by encephalitis, manganese poisoning, or carbon monoxide poisoning. It comes in tablet form and is usually taken three or four times daily. Common side effects seen with this drug include nausea, vomiting, and involuntary movements.
