Dosing for Ropinirole: An Introduction

As is always the case, do not adjust your dose, unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider to do so. The dosing directions for Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome are different. Make sure to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully.
Dosing for Ropinirole: Parkinson's Disease
The recommended starting dosage for people with Parkinson's disease is 0.25 mg three times a day. Your healthcare provider may choose to increase the dose if symptoms continue or decrease the dose if side effects pf ropinirole occur. It may take several weeks to find the correct ropinirole dosage for your particular situation.
When it is time to stop your dosing for ropinirole, your healthcare provider will gradually decrease the dose over a week or two.
