Procyclidine HCL Drug Information
A prescription drug, procyclidine hydrochloride (HCl) is sold under the name Kemadrin® and is approved to treat the following conditions:
- Excessive drooling caused by Parkinson's disease or antipsychotic medications
- Extrapyramidal disorders (movement or muscle tension disorders) caused by antipsychotic medications
- Parkinson's disease and other similar conditions.
It works to treat these conditions by re-establishing a normal balance between certain chemicals of the nervous system known as dopamine and acetylcholine.
