Parkinsons Disease Home > Ropinirole HCl

If you have Parkinson's disease or restless legs syndrome, your healthcare provider may recommend treatment with ropinirole hydrochloride (HCl). This medication comes in seven strengths and is sold under the brand name Requip®.
Ropinirole comes in the form of a tablet. The dosing guidelines vary, depending on why you are taking the medication. If you are taking it for Parkinson's disease, you take it three times a day. For restless legs syndrome, it is generally taken once a day, one to three hours before bedtime. To avoid nausea, try taking each dose with food.
