By stimulating certain receptors in the brain, Requip® XL (ropinirole XL) helps improve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This extended-release medication comes in tablet form and is taken just once a day.
Most people have no problems with Requip XL; however, this drug is not right for everyone. Common side effects include:
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Involuntary movements.
Prior to beginning treatment with Requip XL, inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking and any other medical conditions you have, especially low blood pressure, a sleep disorder, or a major psychotic disorder.
