How Should Cogentin Be Stored?

Cogentin tablets should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you forget to take a dose of Cogentin, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
 

Strengths of Cogentin

Brand-name Cogentin is no longer available. Generic tablets are available in the following strengths:
 
  • Benztropine 0.5 mg
  • Benztropine 1 mg
  • Benztropine 2 mg.
     
Brand-name injectable Cogentin is still available (in 2-mL ampules, with 1 mg of benztropine per mL).
