Although other medications are not likely to interact with Lodosyn, drug interactions may occur with levodopa (which is always taken together with Lodosyn). Some of the medications that could cause levodopa (and therefore Lodosyn) drug interactions include tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and blood pressure medicines. Tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking to help prevent negative Lodosyn interactions.
Lodosyn® (carbidopa) itself probably does not interact with other medications. However, Lodosyn is always used in combination with levodopa products (such as Sinemet®, Sinemet® CR, Parcopa®, or Stalevo®). Levodopa can potentially interact with several different medications.
