How Should Artane Be Stored?
Artane tablets and elixir should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you forget to take a dose of Artane, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
Brand-name Artane is no longer available.
Generic Artane is available in the following strengths and forms:
- Trihexyphenidyl 2 mg tablets
- Trihexyphenidyl 5 mg tablets
- Trihexyphenidyl elixir, which contains 2 mg of trihexyphenidyl per 5 mL (per teaspoonful).
