About Parkinsons Disease
Parkinson's disease is a neurological disorder that gets progressively worse over time. It results from the degeneration of neurons in a region of the brain that controls movement. Several symptoms are associated with Parkinson's disease, with a tremor in one of the hands being a common early symptom. Many theories exist about the causes of Parkinson's disease; however, none has ever been proven. If symptoms are severe enough to warrant treatment, medications may be prescribed. In severe cases, surgery may be recommended.
